“Solving NEW Challenges,” an annual business idea pitch competition hosted by UW-Green Bay’s Cofrin School of Business, asks students to solve challenges facing Northeastern Wisconsin (NEW). The top two finishers advance to Fox Connection’s The Pitch.
UWGB’s Student Success at The Pitch
Students teams from UWGB have taken home two 2nd place trophies, Tyrone Powell in 2020 for UNext and Sydney Gang in 2022 for Skip the Warm-Up), and one 3rd place trophy, Mitchell Bell for Engineering Solutions for Video Communication in 2023.
Building on Northeast Wisconsin’s rich history of innovation and entrepreneurship, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (IEI) focuses on creating community connections to empower students to get unique, hands-on opportunities during college and expand their networks.
